DEPLETION OF IGBO LANGUAGE by Adebi Precious

Image
DEPLETION OF IGBO LANGUAGE Igbo language is the principal native language of the Igbo people - an ethnic group of south eastern Nigeria. Language is the pedigree of nations, it is a supreme achievement of a uniquely human collective genius as divine and unfathomable - a mystery as a living organism. Culture is said to reflect the sum total of human creation, everything that is a product of human mind, system, technique, and tools which make up man's way of life. Language is the custodian and vehicle for culture mobilization, so therefore, language learning is a process of enculturalization and any danger that touches language therefore touches man, his things and indeed his being and essence. Igbo language is depleted and has lost its value because its speakers has ceased to use it and has stop passing it on to the next generation. When igbo language is not spoken by its  children outside the home it is definitely endangered. When it is not spoken at all by the children it is sever

THE POWER OF DETERMINATION part 1 -min Precious πŸ’–

I am glad that you are here today to hear the word of God. I yield my self totally to Him to use me in bringing the “rhema” of God to you. God has created you with a purpose in mind. The purpose is your destiny. It is destiny that produces dream or vision that you pursue. Dream is the result of discovered destiny. The fact that you have dream does not necessarily mean that you fulfill your destiny. In order to fulfill your destiny in life you need more than dream or vision. There are other elements that make fulfilled destiny possible. These include planning, determination, dedication or commitment, focus or direction, discipline etc. I will be speaking to you on one of these elements, which I have titled “The Power of Determination”. There are so many challenges that we face in our lives each day but God has given us the grace and ability to conquer them all. The bible says: 1 John 4:4  - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, tha

As such, exerting self-control over yourself is a central requirement for being successful. If you lack self-discipline, you’re more likely to give up too quickly when problems arise. Similarly, a lack of discipline makes you more likely to give in to short-term temptations that lead you nowhere. If you’re undisciplined, you see no reason in making sacrifices today in order to prosper tomorrow. However, if you’re disciplined, avoiding temptations and distractions will be much easier for you. Self-control helps you be focused on the aims you pursue, even if that means temporal sacrifice, suffering and abstaining from temptations. In fact, you will see these temptations and distractions as what they truly are: Obstacles on the road to success. How to overcome a lack of self-discipline? The big problem with self-
